Genady Iskhakov urodził się w Kazachstanie. Od dziecka fascynowały go muzyka, piosenki i śpiew, lata spędzone na Akademii Muzycznej w Taszkencie zaowocowały stopniem naukowym oraz uprawnieniami pedagogicznymi w zakresie emisji głosu. Jakiś czas później, już jako dorosły człowiek występował w Moskiewskiej Orkiestrze Estradowej Anatona Krolla oraz Filharmonii Wileńskiej. Wtedy też ujawniła się jego ciekawość świata i skłonność do dalekich podróży. Mieszkał i występował w Izraelu, USA i w końcu w Polsce. W Warszawie osiadł w roku 2004, tu nawiązał współpracę z Teatrem Żydowskim im. Estery, Rachel i Idy Kamińskich.
