W roku szkolnym 2021/2022 na Opolszczyźnie odbyły się LIV zawody Małej Olimpiady Matematycznej. Jest to jeden z najdłużej istniejących regionalnych konkursów matematycznych dla młodzieży szkół ponadpodstawowych w Polsce. Organizatorem Małej Olimpiady Matematycznej jest Kuratorium Oświaty w Opolu.
Zamieszczone zadania, oprócz walorów historycznych, mogą być świetną pomocą w przygotowaniu się do udziału w różnorodnych konkursach matematycznych. Zadania te również mogą być pomocne dla maturzystów przygotowujących się do matury z matematyki na poziomie rozszerzonym.
