"Sorrowful Songs. Pieśni żałosne" to polski debiut tłumaczonej na wiele języków francuskiej poetki i krytyczki literackiej, Dborah Heissler (ur. 1976). Jej wiersze to swoisty dialog m.in. z poezją Phillippea Jaccotteta i Yvesa Bonnefoy. Wydany we Francji w 2015 roku tomik nawiązuje swoim tytułem do "Symfonii pieśni żałosnych" Henryka Mikołaja Góreckiego, stąd jego trójdzielna forma, smutny ton, wolne tempo poetyckiej opowieści o stracie ukochanej. Podmiot liryczny lub narrator śpiewa jednocześnie pieśń miłosną i przypomina kompozytora, który utracił wykonawcę swego dzieła. Wiersze przełożył Jan Maria Kłoczowski.
