The monograph [...] indicates a number of threats which in the contemporary reality lead to constant redefinitions of human rights in the context of social and political changes, also related to the process of globalization. They are used in a political game extremely often for pursuit of private interests within exercised power and in such a case they lose their function protecting both a single entity and a collective one. They sometimes lose their symbolism of values, flexibility and function putting life in order in a society, in a community, but their objective is still to guard civil liberties and political units. Whereas, the supernational sphere is unable to replace a national state in functions protecting the said rights, at the most it may come down to control and observation tasks.
dr Justyna Bokajło
The author of the study clearly [...] indicates the objective, i.e. discusses development of the discourse on human rights both in a theoretical and practical dimension, as well as assesses the degree of their convergence by means of an empirical analysis.
dr Adrian Chojan
